Hi, I┤m going to Central America in a month and was
wondering about to wich extent Hurricane Mitch has ruined
Honduras? I will be travelling Guate-Copßn-San Pedro Sula
and from there to the Bay Islands. After two weeks i┤ll be
going back to San Pedro Sula and on from there to
Nicaragua. Also if anyone know some really of the beaten
track highlights in Costa Rica i would apreciate it.
If anyone has any info I would be very grateful!

Easy day ride but start early as transport around the border
doesn't run late. Mitch really messed up infrastructure in
Honduras but temp. repairs to roads and bridges have been
made. This site has details of problems:http://

Try Corcovado Park. (It's a pain to get to but it's amazing!)

Do not worry about getting around in Honduras, especially if
your main goal is the Bay Islands and cities that are near
the coast. Things are fine for travelers-my fiancee is
working in La Ceiba now. He recently went to West End,
Roatan for a week of diving. It is quiet and the diving is
just as AWESOME as ever. His boat ended up encountering a
friendly whale shark! Have a great time!
