Anyone know how easy/reliable it is to send things home (in my case UK) from Mexico, Guat, and Costa Rica??
Think it may be the way forward in limiting the weight of my rucksack!!!
Cheers
Katie

Sent several packages to the US from Mexico with never a
problem. I never tried it in Guat. but had several problems
with the post office there. Clerks tried to overcharge for
stamps or short change. I have spoken to several others with
similar experiences. If by any chance you are going to Belize
try and make friends with Brit soldiers stationed there. As
of summer 96 they could send mail to England at very low
rates. They did that favor for some friends and it saved them
    lots.

I've had some similar experiences. Now I only use DHL or
United Parcel. Never had any problem with them, but of
    course they're a little pricy.

The CR mail service is horrible. I'd give it a 50/50 chance
of making it to its destination and that's being optimistic.
I lived down there for a few months, almost none of the
letters I sent made it to the States. My friends had
    similiar experiences.
