My partner and I are thinking of travelling to Central
America (Mexico in particular) in the near future. We are
reside in Australia but when I was last in the States
I stumbled across an interesting looking tour company called
GREEN TOROISE who take adventure camping tours in Mexico.
Has anyone been on a trip with them before? Any good?
Anybody been on any similar tours they can recomend? We are
not interested in "big" Contiki type tour companies. We have
both been on adventure treks with TREK AMERICA but thought
it might be better to go even further off the beaten track
in Mexico.

good fun, but expensive and quite scabby. You meet loads of
people, but I'd recommend going it alone if you speak any
Spanish. The busses in Mexico are OK and cheap.
Have fun!
THanks for the advice Tom...............we speak no spanish
(sadly) and have only ever travelled in English speaking
countries........Australia, America, UK....... it might be
cool to give it a go alone though. Will need a lot more
effort and research before we go.
Why is GT scabby? I thought they looked reasonable value?
I have only seen the one brochure before. I am concerned
there may be too many people on the bus though. I am used
to tours with only 10 or so people.
