On holiday at the beach, it would just be SO much nicer to
have a joint or two on hand... Anyone know how it works in
Central America? Easy or not easy to find a peaceful
mellow supply? Any suggestions? Risky?

Mexico: easy, cheap and plenty of it.
to destroy local economies and encourage a dangerous drug
culture too. I don't mind you doing it, but only in your
own back garden, not others. Stay in your own violent drug
ridden country - I assume you're American.
It's quite easy to find weed down in Central America,
particularly on the Caribbean coast. You must be a little
careful though. The penalties for drug possesion are pretty
harsh....and you will spend time in jail. Bribery is
another way out, but only works sometimes.
The weed itself is pretty lame, dark green ganja. You must
smoke a lot of it to get high, and you don't really get too
stoned. It's dirt cheap though! Don't travel around with
the weed in your backpack (when going from village to
village). Just buy a little at a time, and smoke what you
can before leaving for the next town. Then give it away
before boarding the bus (they get searched frequently).
Anyway, have fun! Oh, and don't be too obvious when smoking
it. As you can tell from the last post, the locals don't
really look kindly on it. Be discreet!
Ahhhhh! anyone else been serched on a bus- I travel a lot in
CA , with a spot of weed now and than, never been searched-
I keep itin my underware (small stash). I feel that I am in
more danger doing the BUYing of the stuff then holdilng- not

You know what? Just stay home, ok? I have been to Central
America twice and I get sick and tired of stoned gringo
tourists wandering around the country like it's their own
personal ganja shop. Do you care at all what the locals
think about the potheads who wander around their towns? In
case you don't know, Central America has a lot more to offer
than cheap weed, but I guess you don't care about friendly
people, Mayan ruins, beautiful mountains, etc.
