I was in Bocas del Toro about five years ago, so it may have
changed some, but it was one of the most beautiful places I
have been to. The main island has a few hotels and a very
relaxed atmosphere but we spent most of our time camping on
the island of Bastimentos where the people were incredibly
friendly and the beaches were amazing and totally empty.
    So, I would recommend it!

We were in Bocas del Toro in April and it was definitely
worth it. It's very laid back and still semi-undiscovered.
Very good and reasonably priced diving. You can walk
around at midnight and feel perfectly safe. Some fun
nightlife too if you like regga music.
I'd stay at the Hotel Las Brisas. It's a little run down,
but right on the water and about US$16 for a double.
Have a great trip, wish we were going with you.

I too enjoyed my stay in Bocas when I went last year.
Am thinking about a short trip back, but want to know what
the weather is like this time of year (it is pouring like
    crazey here in CR).
