Which bars/pubs do people reckon are the best in Australia.
I'll start by saying the Boubon and Beef Steak in Kings
Cross has got a lot of atmosphere.
Where else do people reckon?

has heaps of excellent pubs especially the norfolk (love the
beer garden) and Clancy's Fsih Pub. I work there and I still

I liked the Woolshed in Cairns and the DownUnder Bar in
Brisbane. Both are a bit out of control and very much the
meatmarket but I had a fabulous time! Dancing on the tables
    is expected!

    Try:

    The Royal Hotel
    The Commercial Hotel
    The Star Hotel
    The Central Hotel
    The Australian Hotel
    The Railway Hotel

    any town in Australia,
    you'll no doubt find one.

Better hurry up and get over here before they all paint
their names over with something like "The Blarney Stone".
Those DIY Plastic Paddy Irish Pub Kits are all the rage
right now - just hang up sign that says "Guinness on tap"
and instantly, like magic, all your grandmothers are from
    Cork...

    ..................Bay Hotel!
Obnoxious as it could be at times (full of drunken poms), I
do miss the old girl. Especially when I think of how I
used to while away the hours with a cool drink on a hot
Sunday afternoon. Now, I while away my Sunday afternoons
    in smoky London pubs.

The Customs House Hotel on the waterfront is good and
friendly and has some ggod music some nights. Knopwoods in
Salamanca Place is great to watch the ferals of the market
wander by and also a good meeting place on Friday nights.
I agree that the Coogee Bay hotel is tops as well.

The New England Hotel in Armidale really goes off. I grew
up in Armidale and can say that it is the friendliest town
(we call it a city) in Australia. See you at the
    Newie!!!!!!!!!!!
