Greetings Fellow Travelers:
I suddenly feel drawn to the Pacific Islands but would like
some good backpacker advice to help me narrow down my
options. I'll be leaving from the US, am on a tight budget
(of course) and would really love to find island bliss with
the possibility of working to earn some money (I am a
teacher of math and geogrpahy -- also an aspiring writer).
Which island nations offer the best in budget getaway, are
the least "touristy", and have the possibility for work
(preferably at the college level)??? Also, is it possible
to travel via freighter from island to island?
