Travel Insurance

I'm going to Oz for a year and I'm currently looking for
insurance. The cheapest I have found is the 'Varsity Bond'
policy from Travel Insurance Direct.
Has anybody else used this policy? If so, have you had any
good or bad experiences if you've had to make a claim?
Any other policy recommendations would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks.

have a look at www.travelinsurance.com.au, they offer
Australian visitor insurance if you ask and their prices are
    in Aussie dollars.

There are two policies, Varsity Bond and Varsity Bond Plus.
The main difference is baggage cover and and the 'plus'
policy is รบ240. This seems to give fairly comprehensive
    cover and includes hazardous sports.
It's a lot cheaper than anything else I can find. My only
concern is that there might be a good reason for that!
Mail me if you want more info.
