  1. Sulawesi - The Latest Added by: Wade Eakle (weakle@spd.usace.army.mil)
[Timestamp: Sat 8 May, 8:07 Tasmanian Standard Time]

I'm planning a 2-3 week excursion to northern Sulawesi,
Indonesia in late Sept to early Oct 1999, via Singapore.
My main focus will by diving and birding. Any recent
returnees out there with good info on the situation in
Manado, as well as any tips on accommodations and dive
    operators, would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Try.. Added by: Net Surfer

Broadmeadows, Melbourne - always a good bet. And around
Target/McDonalds in the city centre of Melbourne...good
    spotting.

  3. Ringy, Dandy Added by: poider

Any of the outer suburbs of Melbourne should do. Or any
city, in fact. But I highly recommend a trip to either
Ringwood or Dandenong on the outer eastern fringes.
Apparently the no. of bogans is so high there is a
separatist movement which aims to create an independent
Bogan Nation. There will be no capital city, of course, as
real bogans will only live in suburbia.

Try a suburb of Brisbane called INALA

  5. Unfortunate excess Added by: Adelaide
[Timestamp: Wed 19 May, 19:07 Tasmanian Standard Time]

Try Adelaide, most of it! Okay, I realise that not every one
in Adelaide fits your request but there does seem to be an
unfortunate excess of bogon types here. Try Hindley St any
time of day or night, Anzac Highway of a Friday or Saturday
night, McDonalds or Hungry Jacks on West Tce (particularly
during the small hours of the weekend), increasingly
(unfortunatley) Rundle St - although most tend to remain in
their cars (thankfully) which they drive on a seemingly
ceaseless loop around the Rundle St/Nth Tce/Pulteney St
circuit....and I could go on and on and on..Anyway, all your
dreams will be fulfilled here in a city where Puberty Blues
lives well and truly on....And many of stay safely at home
dreaming of bogonfree places far, far away...sigh...
