Hi there,
Does anyone know if it is possible to enter Oz and NZ
without an onward ticket. We are now in Singapore, we'll
fly into Cairns but we want to buy onward tickets from
Sydney. (Sydney -> Auckland -> USA -> Europe)
Do the customs particularly in Oz check if you have an
onward ticket? If it is a problem, we'll have to buy an
onward ticket here in Singapore.
please help, thanks.

  1. Onward ticket? Added by: Jonny

Hello you two and anyone else reading. I am going to Oz on
June the 4th and only have a single ticket. The problem is
that you do not need an onward ticket if you have a working
visa. When you apply for just a tourist visa you have to
sign an undertaking that you have an onward or return
ticket. Did you do this? I do know that you probably need
an onward ticket when going to NZ as I have also enquired
about it. As that is where I am hoping to go onto as well.
    Happy travelling!

As far as I know you do need a return ticket. What I did is
came through via NZ as it was cheaper than a return airfare
from OZ and did not use the return.....
Don't know if this helps you at all
    Matt
