Has anyone been to Samoa. We are thinking of going there
over New Year's Eve and want to know how long we should
stay on each Island. Where are the cool places to stay,
nicest beaches, surfing and diving spots, cultural events,
etc?
Please let us know ANYTHING you know about Samoa.
Thankyou.

  1. Samoa is Great Added by: Samoan expert

Samoa has lots to offer such as chess competitions,
croquet, lawn bowls and wet t-shirt competitions. You just
have to know where to look. If you have small breasts then
you might not have much luck with the last one. Try the
local churches - they usually have notice boards informing
people of the latest local events. If you're there over
Dec/Jan you're lucky - the local Quilt Guild have their
    local fete then.
    Hope this helps.

My husband and I went to Samoa last year with our 5 month
old son. We had a fantastic time. It truly is paradise.
There are very few tourists, the people are really friendly
and it is very cheap to stay there. We spent most of our
time on Savaii. We stayed at two really good, family-run
places on the beach. The first was in Satuiatua (good
surfing there too) and the other was Tanus at Manase. We
slept in fales on a mattress with a mossie net over us and
the water lapping at our doorstep. Like I said, paradise!
You probably won't want to spend long in Apia, better to get
out and explore the villages. Have fun, we can't wait to go
    back!

in Apia and on Savaii ?

Well Mike, you're really making me stretch my memory... but in Apia we stayed at the Seaside Inn and I think it was around 50 Tala per night (I'll let you do the conversions). That was for a room with 2 single beds and our own bathroom (cold shower). It also included breakfast of toast, jams, fruit and coffee. Very clean and reasonable. I think that the fales on Savaii were about 45 tala per person and included HUGE meals- breakfast and dinner. We would highly recommend the two places we stayed on Savaii (see above post for their names). Happy travels!
