Good day, Has anyone stayed at the above hotel, I am
leaving in one week and am not sure where to stay in
NAIROBI, I have heard of this being a good place to start.
Correct or is my info warped. Any ideas would be
appreciated on a hotel between the $15-$25 margin. I have
read posts before so I know not to wear jewellery and day
packs! Thanks

The Terminal Hotel has a good reputation but is often
booked out. Probably a good place to start if you don't
    know Nairobi.

We stayed at the Terminal last year in June. We arrived
late at night without reservations and got a room. Our
advice was to have the cab driver wait while we checked
availability in case they were full. It was clean,
friendly, and near good, inexpensive restaurants. I think
we paid around $17 for two, but I don't remember exactly.
Bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

Yes i stayed there 2 years ago and will be there in july as well. It is very good, safe, and good location out of city center. However locals tell me not to leave valuables in room but put in hotel safe.

Hi, I stayed at the Heron Court Hotel last September and was
robbed by the hotel porter (cut my money belt while I was
in the lift). When I went to the Australian Embassy to get
a new passport they asked me where I was staying and when
I said Heron Court the woman just yelled "what the hell were
you staying there for?" She told me the place is notorious
for theft by the staff and advised against ever staying
there. All the staff are in on it (the manager paid off the
police when they came to invesigate my robbery). After that
I stayed at the Terminal Hotel and can recommend it - it's
cheaper, safer and the staff are great.
