We plan a 4 week vacation in Namibia in July 99. I made
several inquiries for car rental (I e-mailed about 20
companies !). Prices range from N$ 15000 to 23000, taxes
and everything included for the same car, same camping gear
!
Do you have bad or good experience about car hire to tell
me. The 2 cheapest companies are Enyandi car rental and
Andes car rental. Are they reliable ? Thanks to tell me.

Contact the Cardboard Box in Windhoek
(http://www.ahj.addr.com). They do business with most of
the rental companies and usualy can get you a good deal or
give you up-to-date advise. It's also a very nice lodge.

I've heard no complains about Enyandi so far, Andes I don't
    know.
    -
When you rent a car make sure you get at least two spares.
Most rental companies allow only three people in their
    smalle cars.

    Enjoy your trip!

    Hi!
Use Pegasus (Mona and Norbert Ihrlich). Small, friendly, economical, airport pickups, accom in Windhoek. (061 251451, fax 223423). I've used them on two occasions with great satisfaction.
    Good luck,
    Adrian

  4. Enyandi Added by: Barb (brobbins@vetmed.wsu.edu)

We used Enyandi Car Rental for a two week trip in Namibia
in September & found it satisfactory. Airport pickup at
Windhoek. Accomodations (B&B) if you need them. Low
    rates.
Good idea to have 2 spare tires. Also, make sure you KNOW
that the tire changing tools fit your wheels. If you have
a flat tire in the middle of the desert & cannot change it,
you have a serious problem. It happened to us.
    Have a great trip.
    Barb
