I've provisionally booked a place on a trip to go up
kilimanjaro via the Marangu route up to the summit of Uhuru
Peak this is over 5-6 days. From there north-west to
Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Crater. The
onto the Tarangire National Park. We'd start the climb
around the 27th December. Could anyone give me advice on
this? Is this an OK time to go?
cheers.

I climbed Kili at the same time last year and it was
wonderful, so don't worry. The Marangu route is a Coca-Cola
route, with lots of people and very poluted, bit pretty
    easy.
Ngorongoro is amazing, although the road there needs some
maintenance. But that is part of the experience, isn't it?

i wouldnt bother, you'll be exhausted by the time you
finish that lot! getting to the top is a 50/50 chance
anyway and has nothing to do with health. Altitude sickness
is not pleasant and almost unavoidable at those heights,
even if you stay a couple of days at kibo.
go to zanzibar and enjoy a proper holiday! then go to
ngorogoro, that really is worth a visit, stunning.
