If you cannot find anyone to go with you, go anyway! I
have been there twice (both times with a group), and we
always ran into solo travellers looking for companions.
People are super-friendly there, and always adventurous.
Land in Cape Town or Durban, seek out a youth hostel or a
pub, and you will meet someone to show you around and/or
travel with you. Have a great time - it's a beautiful
country!
