What is the best way to travel from Cairo to Aswan. How much it costs? Thanks.

depends on your definition of "best". seriously though, my
fiancee and i took the 1st class night train called the
"wagon-lite") this past december, and enjoyed the
relative comfort. the food was fair at best. it was
convient, leaving cairo in the evening, passing through
luxor in the very early morning, and arriving aswan in the
late morning. the private cabin did cost $180 for the two
of us. from aswan make sure you find time to visit
    abu-simbel.

You can also use the normal 1st class train which has comfy
seats in 1st class and you can choose to have a meal or
not, when you buy your ticket. The meal is probably not
worth it but if you are starving then you will appreciate
it, but as the train is overnight you may not want a meal
at that time of night. It cost 40 pounds Egyptian a few
years for a 1st class ticket from Cairo to Luxor. You can
go further to Aswan or catch a felluca. I personally
wouldn't bother to pay that much for a train ticket for
such a short journey, but it depends on your personal
    preferences.
