In two weeks I will leave for South Africa and Zambia (via
Zimbabwe). I know I need a visa for Zambia that I 'have' to
buy at the embassy in Brussels. Does anyone know if it is
hard to buy a visa at the border at Vic. Falls? I do not
feel like stay there for a week while waiting for my visa...

You will easily be able to get a Zambian via at the border
between Zim and Zambia at Vic Falls. It shouldn't take
more than 10-15 minutes just depending how many people are
ahead of you. This is a very busy border crossing.

Zambian embassies in Germany send you a visa within a week. That should be easier, it took me 2 days in Lusaka only to get a visa-extension.
