I was planning a trip to Jamaica but all of the accomodation
prices have been mysteriously tripled above the high-season
rate and the flight costs have almost doubled. Is that part
of millenium madness? So I'll stay home and then travel one
month later when all of the hype is over and I am sure
planes will stay in the air and air traffic controllers
    haven't all gone mad.

Everything will cost triple, make your own fun and travel
from Jan 1 onwards when prices will return to normal.
PS Most millenium trips are already booked out so book soon
    if you're leaving.

The millenium cellebrations you are all talking about are
all a year too early. You are just practicing for the real
thing which will take place on NYE 2000. What you are all
confused over is Y2K which is when our computer chips may or
may not decide to cooperate with us anymore. Have a nice
party but be ready for the real millenium party on
    31/12/2000.
