Just about anywhere on the entire coast!
Yep,
I know of plenty !!! and regularly surf them !!!! - Seek and ye shall find (it's not bloody hard in Oz) - or alternatively buy a book written by Mark Warren - The Atlas of Australian Surfing - it will get you to most of the popular well known breaks..
Pull In
Bacon
...but I'm not telling!!
You would have heard of the big ones, but make sure you
explore a bit away from them. There is just too much coast
to talk about.
As for Mark Warren - there's alot of Aussie surfers who'd
like to shove his book into his backside book slot!!
Localism is alive and kicking in Oz, so stay cool.
Anyway, take a wave for me as it'll be awhile b4 I can -
stuck in surfless London!!
Cheers, Water Crazy from Oz
...i've been told the noosa area is great by aussie friends
-surfers paradise is just a name and none of them surf
there.
The Margret River on the west coast is world class, rated #1
in the world by many. Perth, also on the west coast, has
got to be Australia's most livable city. I lived in the
Brisbane/Gold Coast area for three years, Burliegh is nice,
but way too crowded, and the swell in Noosa is way too
small. Go west, Go west go west, you will not be
dissapointed. As for the South, I wouldn't know, but the
cold and the antartic sharks are enough to scare me off.
This may be a plus when it comes to over crowding.
The person that said that Surfers Paradise is only a name is wright, but the Gold Coast as a whole has some great surf spots (go in November, or if there is a cyclone up near Rockhampton). The Gold Coast has South Stradbroke Island, Burleigh Heads, Kirra, D-Bar, Greenmount and the Tweed Coast all 5 star spots. I have lived here for 12 years and think that most of the locals are up themself even the kooks. Have FUN
I know there is a work visa policy for people age 18-30 who
would like to work in Australia. I am over 30 and would like
to work in Australia (legally). I have a
secretarial/clerical background. Is there a way to get a
work visa. Thanks for any info.
I live in perth and The Margeret River area is good
Obviously everyone's heard of Bell's Beach at Torquay but
Barwon Heads I've heard is underrated. Barwon Heads is about
25 km east of Torquay and (not being a surfer myself) I've
heard from a quite a few people that it's half decent there.
Of course I am a halfwit so they could be taking the piss
out of me but check it out for yourself.
WHERE ELSE TO GO THEN TO THE VERY BEAUTIFUL NARRABEEN BEACH
IN SYDNEY. THIS IS WHERE THE INTERNATIONAL TITLE CALLED THE
"COKE CLASSIC". I'M A LOCAL AND CAN SAY THAT -ALL- OF
SYDNEYS' BEACHES GO OFF.
BEAU
I'm a beginner / intermediate surfer and looking to go somewhere, anywhere in the world for a 2 - 4 week surf holiday to get some serious practise in. I live in London and cornwall is pretty flat through the summer. Where do think is the best place for
-consistent 2 - 6ft surf
-warm water
-cheap living
These are the places I have heard are good so far:
*Biarritz and the Cote d'Argent (not so cheap living but near)
*Indonesia (cheap but perhaps a little big)
*Sri Lanka (ditto)
*Oz
Any comments / other suggestions?
AUS rocks whole east coast is good especially TOS
but if you want serious waves go to HI
If your lookin' for the best waves in winter
then check out west ozzies south coast.
the huge swells and howling offshores, makes
for the perfect waves, pits, and not to mention chicks-
this side of MARS.
you'll be surfin, rooting and laughin' till
the cows come home.
see ya down here, before global warming takes into effect.
and remeber
SNIFF THE RESIN !!!!!!!!!!
If you go to Mudjimba beach
paddle about 2 km east to old women island
its like an island from indo has been put there
watch out for sharks!!! And the knee deep water on rocks!!!
Bells beach just outside torquay in Victoria has ace waves in easter round the time of the rip curl pro. As well as the west coast has good spots
If you head to Agnes' Waters in Mid North Queensland you
will find this great little spot where not many people have
discovered....until now....it is situated where the break
is in the Great Barrier Reef, so the waves are great. Have
a great time.
This site is the worst site I've ever seen. I think surfers
are all gay faggots. If you've got anything to say about it
email me poofs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS I like the cool surfing mag WAVES you suck Surfing Life
See we have this perception of surfers - 'that they are all
dumb' - well babe you just sealed it.
Australia - Australian - before you come here - learn how to
spell and then I might be able/want to show you around....
Because I am every surfers dream....
Sorry Matey
EveryWhere between GoldCoast and Taree in Northern NSW
Fantastic Few People
Hey everyone. I live in the U.S., and am curious about colleges in Australia and New Zealand. I have not done any research on it, so I thought that I would look here first. E-mail me or post here, and I would be much obliged. Thanks!
Hi! I have to do a report on the Great Barrier Reef and I need some info. I am looking for some info about it; i would really appreciate it if you could give me some info or if you know somone or something that could give me some info!
thanks!

I recently went on a holiday down south of WA
It fully went off .
I was so stoked i didn't want to leave
i thouroly recomend margret river to anyone who is thinking about it.
it is sick
Kingscliff on the tweed northen NSW is the best suffspot on
the coast which is not crowded. unfortunately it has a
strong sweep and very few left breaks. in big swell it
holds it. check out Bazza's Bakery top stuff. good surf
over the river called cudgen. visitors here vare not very
welcome.
The tweed has some of the best barrels in australia not as
good as Kirra or Burliegh but no where near as crowded.
back beach fingal has excellent banks and in big swell not
much sweep. whilst 5 mins away first and second car park
give filth uncrowded barrells to everyone. Kingscliff has
top quality waves infront of the bowls club. night surfing
is possible infront of the bowls club as the light the
ocean up for all the old people. this summer we have
experienced months of big swell. we had 6 straight weeks of
big clean offshore surf
i surf the goldcoast every weekend and i just want to say
crowds suck and so do boggers and goat boats who take every
wave. boggers are cool for shores but otherwise extremely
useless. goat boats are just a bunch of DT wearing, life
saving, faggot wanabes. mals are allright if the tool
riding does not hog the waves. locals who think they are
tough are the biggest bunch of wankers-bunghole-poo
shooting-wanabe tough-faggots. try a bit harder you wankers
the ocean is not yours. also milk has gone up 10 cents.
SMURFING IS THE ART OF OLD FARTS WHO DECIDE THAT LIFE IS
MEANINGLISS AND DECIDE TO TAKE UP SURFING EVENTHOUGH THE
ONLY CO ORDINATED THING THEY CAN DO IS WALK.
Stranded in London for another 12 months thanks to the
mighty รบรบรบ I can only reflect on just how good surfing in
OZ is. I've surfed Indo and Europe and still look forward
to returning home to OZ. Having surfed the east coast since
I could fart I must say it is my favourite. If you can
find a place called 'Lime XXXXXXX' or 'XXXXcourse' on a
good swell you'll never want to leave and you'll always
won't to return. You can guess what the XXX's are, it'll
give you something to do while driving up the pacific
highway. Oz surf rules, no mistake.
Try Ccoffs Harbour, east coast, 500 kms north of Sydney
I just thought I would say the CENTRAL COAST
(approx 2 hours north of SYDNEY) you will find
heaps good surf around THE BEND Wamberal Beach, Avooca
Beach, North Shelly, Copacabana Beach,Killcare, Entrance
Beach and don't forget Umina.
I also would just like to say surfing kicks ass and we are
not dumb ass-faggots all us surfers jst want to do is me
young forever!!!!!!!
See ya
for all you keen surfers out there I'm a local at Clifton Beach in Tassie and the banks at the moment are unreal.
we have points down here that only work on big swells but when they do work they are like burleigh maybe kirra point.
There are heaps of secret and uncrowded spots down here,
so don't bother coming here.
Tas could match anywhere for good waves just not the warm water but were tough we can handle it.
see ya
I always thought Tassie was like a hangover - no point trying
to surf big waves in either state.....
