Originally from Northern Ireland and now living in London, Annie Caulfield writes plays for theatre, screen and radio. A recent BBC radio play won a Race in the Media Award from the Commission for Racial Equality, and her stage play Walk the Line was awarded a Special Prize in the 1994 Manchester Royal Exchange Playwriting Competition. Having written for many TV comedy shows, Annie continues to work regularly as a scriptwriter for comedian Lenny Henry. She has written and broadcast for BBC Radio travel programmes on a variety of destinations, including the Middle East, East Africa and Spain; her travel writing also appears in the Independent newspaper. Kingdom of the Film Stars is Annie's first book.
