Keeping the Wolf
from the Door

with a common link being the great outdoors. Work includes the following:

design consultancy for outdoor equipment brands in Europe and Australia.
Includes the design/sourcing of product, market research, production
of brochures and adverts, copywriting and so on
- running a major
annual two day mountain bike event, the Activent Polaris Challenge,
which currently attracts some 200 teams from across Australia
- running an annual
month-long ski touring trip to the Indian Himalaya
- field testing
of outdoor equipment
- contributing articles
and photographs to magazines
- cross country
ski instruction.
Escaping from the
Door
As with work, the outdoor
environment provides sustenance, in this case for the body and spirit. Over
the past 15 years Huw has undertaken a large number of journeys in the mountains.
He has skied, climbed, walked or cycled in Australia, New Zealand, Africa,
Europe and Asia. He has developed a long standing love affair with the Indian
Himalaya over the past decade, particularly in relation to winter ski journeys.
