Gun Salutes
The Honourable Artillery Company fires 62 gun salutes at 1pm at the Tower of London on Monday 3 June (marking 1953 Coronation anniversary), Monday 10 June (Prince Philip's 75th Birthday) and Saturday 15 June (The Queen's Official Birthday).

Lunchtime Openings
St Mary Aldermary in Bow Lane is now open on Thursdays 11am to 3pm. St Sepulchre Holborn Viaduct, opposite Old Bailey, is open on Wednesdays 12 noon to 2pm. This has been made possible by the Friends of the City Churches and NADFAS.

Abseil Challenge
Rory Bremner and 'Vicar of Dibley model' the Revd Joy Carroll are among those already signed up to abseil down St Lawrence Jewry's tower on Wednesday 19 June. The first volunteer goes up (and down) the 150 foot tower at 9am and many are booked in for lunchtime. The entry fee is £10 in aid of the Church Urban Fund. Those with a head for heights should call 0171 620 0917 for an entry form.

Advanced Sunday School
The Advanced Summer School's summer term theme at St Andrew-by-the-Wardrobe is 'Family Matters' . All lectures are on June Sundays (except 30th) at 4.30pm with tea available from 4pm. After the lecture choral evensong is sung at 5.30pm by a visting choir. See Talks listing for details. St Andrew's is on St Andrew's Hill EC4 with another entrance in Queen Victoria Street near Blackfriars Station.
