The Nature of Dark Matter
One candidate for exotic dark matter is a set of particles called WIMPs (Weakly Interacting Massive Particles). However, WIMPs haven't been directly observed yet, though they are predicted by superstring theory. One such particle, the neutralino, is a very good candidate for cold dark matter because it is light and electrically neutral.
