I am 5 years old. How do X-rays work?
The Answer
Here at NASA we catch X-rays from far away things.
From these X-rays we can learn about those far away things --
like stars and galaxies.
When you go to the doctor an get an X-ray, it is similar.
The doctor shoots X-rays in one side of you, and then film
catches the X-rays on the other. This makes a picture of
your inside, showing your bones really well.
