Thank you for using

MP3 Creator by Acceleration Software

MP3 and WAV Files

The MP3 player is designed to play MP3 audio files.  MP3 files can be downloaded from various sites on the Internet or "ripped" directly from an audio CD.  Your WAV files can also be played but they must first be encoded as MP3.  Drag a WAV file onto the MP3 player and you will be prompted to save it in MP3 format.   MP3 Creator file conversion requires use of an MP3 encoder which are easily available on the internet. If you do not have one, visit a site such as "www.freshmeat.net" and search for "MP3 encoder." Free MP3 encoders are available to download.

When you convert a WAV file you may choose the sampling frequency bit rate.  A higher bit rate will provide a better quality sound but will produce a larger file.

After the new MP3 file is created you may put it in a playlist or load it onto the MP3 player as with any other MP3 file.
