These are the official models of the World Coral-Reef Conservation Society (W.C.C.S.) for 1999. The designs of these models attempt to instill awareness of the need to protect the unspoiled tropical oceans of the world that are the habitat of coral reefs. Basic design themes feature coral reef motifs and the manta ray, which is among the favorite underwater friends of divers everywhere. The designs and functions of all models have been caref ully selected to match the theme of W.C.C.S. activities.
The W.C.C.S. lineup also features Tide Graph models, whose metal display piece is shaped in the image of a manta ray. Like The FROGMAN models, the metal band ring is shaped like the letter "C" for "coral". The mirror-finished bezel and semi-transparent bands capture the refreshing coolness of ocean water. The back covers of all models are engraved with the W.C.C.S. logo, and bands or band connection pieces are marked with the W.C.C.S. slogan, "Mission is Action". Bands are also imprinted with the silhouette of the white socks shrimp, a marine animal whose natural life-style serves to portect coral reefs. |
