Strikingly attractive and contemporary, this thermal carafe is clad in translucent plastic, with a green marble knob on its stopper. The carafe is for tabletop use only (not for travel). Insulated with a glass vacuum liner, it keeps 17 ounces of hot drinks hot or cold drinks cold and does so stylishly. For a firm grip, there are finger-sized grooves on either side . Cleanup requires nothing more than a rinse inside with warm water and a swipe outside with a damp cloth. The carafe stands 11-1/4 inches high and is tapered toward the top in a manner that classical architects would admire. (The carafe should not be used to hold warm dairy products, fresh juices, baby food, or carbonated drinks.) --Fred Brack
