Matsushita Electric Unveils 'WiLL PC' for Female Users
September 30, 1999 (TOKYO) -- Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. said it will soon begin selling a new desktop computer for women called the "WiLL PC CF-E1."
The computer features a liquid-crystal display (LCD) built into the main body of the unit itself.
The PC's compact design also allows the keyboard to be stored away in a special space at the bottom of the two-tone (silver and blue) colored unit.
Viewed from the side, the unit's shape resembles the Greek letter "lambda" featuring a futuristic, spaceship-like design. It comes fully equipped with a DVD-ROM drive and IEEE1394 ports, so users can also use it to enjoy AV contents.
The new CF-E1 computer is one of the products designed for a joint marketing project in which several major companies are working together to produce goods under a single brand name, "WiLL."
