AppleMovies - Switching to Mac - David Carey

by Apple
I've been thinking about a Mac for years. Particularly an iBook. I travel a lot on my job. I'd rather be home with my family, but now I bring my family with me. Video and digital photographs, right on the computer.

I have four small children who I love dearly. I take lots of digital photographs and digital video. When I travel--I travel every week--I wanted something that would let me bring them with me. I just flew to Detroit. Coming back from Detroit, I was working on editing a digital video. It makes my day a lot more interesting.

My family lives in California and my parents don't get to travel very much. So if I can send them a DVD of what my children are doing, of how we spent our time, it's almost as if they were there with us. And it's fun for me. I create a lasting memory for my family. Plus, I get to share with my friends.

I was concerned about compatibility with Word, Excel and Lotus Notes. It works great.

The common phrase is that kids grow up too fast. I know that 15 years from now, the investment that I put in now to make these movies is going to seem like a brilliant use of time. I'm going to have all these amazingly produced videos and DVDs of the kids growing up.
