Script Software's iClock

by MacTech Staff

Script Software's iClock provides the simplicity of basic Mac OS X clock, along with advanced an assortment of functions and utilities that many users can take advantage of daily.

To us, one of the most useful items was that the date and time could be displayed simultaneously, unlike the standard menu clock. This is worth the price alone for some. But there's more you can customize on the click. For example, you cannot only customize functionalities such as customization options that allow users to choose the typeface, the color, the size, the information that is displayed, and how it the clock is displayed.

iClock is a whole lot more than a menu clock - it's a collection of utilities that in many ways, may feel unrelated. For example, iClock brings back the OS 9 applications menu, and packs in features that enable users to get weather for selected cities with a single click, view IP address and system information, and import birthdays into calendar from address book. iClock It can also be used to launch applications along with reminders, track portfolio from the menu bar and customize it to show the required info, and get telephone country and area codes.

If you make a lot of phone calls, iClock has a number of useful features. It allows users to access multiple time zones right from the menu bar, and customize the cities to be displayed, the format, typeface, and color. iClock This software also comes with a set of customizable floating clocks that can be set to select time zones visible on desktop with the style and color of choice.

iClock's The fully customizable calendar facilitates change in font, size, color, and format in addition to size, background, and number of months displayed. Users can set monthly themes for calendar utilizing 12 digital images - one for each month. Free themes can be downloaded from the iClock website, and users can create their own themes. iClock can also make The calendar can also be made available by using hotkey.

iClock can be integrated to work with major Mac calendar programs, and . iClock also allows full customization of the alarm function. The aAlarm can be set to repeat at certain times, and play different sounds can be chosen to play to distinguish different reminders, and launch different programs, as required.

While there was a reasonably nice stop watch, it wasn't as useful to us as it could have been since the start and stop buttons were separate ... unlike a real stop watch that has a single button that toggles start/stop.

iClock's The one-click warning features can be used to set quick reminders with a single click on the menu bar. This is great if you are the type of person that needs to do something in 5 minutes, but may get lost in what you are working on.

.It iClock iClock also provides powerful features for stock portfolio tracking.

This product has a number of great uses, many of which would be worth the $20 by themselves. Anyone who uses a Mac throughout the day should check this product out, as they are likely to find several items in this "everything but the kitchen sink" utility that makes it a worthwhile purchase.

iClock requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, and it is priced at $20. See <http://www.scriptsoftware.com/iclock> for more information..
