Once you have installed the Flower Master Software on your computer, you can begin to use it right away. To do this, follow these steps:

to Use the FLOWERS Module

Step 1 | Open the FLOWER MASTER program. (You will find the program at the location you specified earlier during the install process. The default location for Windows platforms is on the desktop or in the START>APPLICATIONS menu. The default for MAC OSX platforms is the desktop or startup disk.) When you first open the FLOWER MASTER program, a tips window appears. Read the information in this window and then click on the CLOSE button. (You can permanently disable this window by clicking the box "Show tips on startup" so that the check mark disappears.) |

Open the FLOWERS module by clicking on its icon in the Main menu panel to the left: When you first open the FLOWERS module, one or more yellow Bubble Tips boxes may appear. Read the information in these windows and then click on their CLOSE buttons at their upper right corners. (You can disable this Bubble Tips feature by going to TOOLS>PROGRAM OPTIONS at the upper left of the main window.) |

To perform a simple search, enter the name of a flower (either common name, genus, or species, or portion thereof), and then click on the SEARCH button: |

From the resulting list, highlight a specific flower and press the VIEW button: |

Scan through the available pictures of the flower by clicking on the left and right ARROW buttons. (NOTE: For some flowers, you can click on the MAGNIFY icon to see the photograph enlarged.) |
Step 6 |
View the flower's name information to the right of the picture area. (NOTE: If you press and hold your mouse button over the Genus or Species name, a tips box will appear with pronunciation help and other information.) |
Step 7 |
View detailed planting information and other characteristics immediately below the picture area. (NOTE: Use the vertical scroll bar to the right to view all available information.) |
Step 8 |
Click on the PRINT icon at the top left menu bar to print a hard copy of the text portion of the flower information (copyrighted photographs are not printed): |
