Internal Texture Types

The Internal Textures are built into the Renderer.

Plain The plain texture is a pure color with no texturing applied to surfaces.
Wood The surface is given the appearance of being carved out of Wood. The Primary surface color represents the Winter growth. The texture Color represents the summer growth.
Marble The Vien color is given by the Primary surface color and the background color is given by the texture color.
Granite The Primary color fades to black.
Luminous This texture show the face color at maximum brightness and unaffected by lighting conditions. Use it on lamp shades and flourescent lights.
Flashing This texture show the face color at maximum brightness for 5 frames and then at minimum brightness for 5 frames. This gives the illusion of a flashing light. Useful for aircraft navigation lights
Bumpy The bumpy texture is perhaps the most useful of all. It gives surfaces the appearance of being rough. The scale of the bumps depends on the relative sizes of the texture axes and the model being textured. The height of the bumps is given by the Texture Parameter Slider. Bumps that are too high can give a poor surface appearance.
Aztec This is a treshold bump texture that splits the surface into two plateau areas with terraced ridges.
Wrinkled A bumpy texture but with a directional wrinkled effect.
Spotted A spotty blend from the Primary color to a White color is applied to the surfaces
Agate A Stone like texture.
Cloudy This texture simulates the appearance of clouds. It is not affected by lighting conditions. The Texture Parameter Slider adjusts the "blusteryness" of the clouds and the Glossiness Slider sets the aspect ratio of the clouds. The aspect ratio is used to give the clouds the appearance of bending towards the horizon. Clouds are a fractal textured and a good looking texture is easily found with a couple of trials.
Dents Small bumpy dents spaced and sized randomly over the surface.
Blend Blend from the Primary to the texture color over the lenght of a texture axes. The blend occurs in a direction at right angles to the plane of the texture axes.
Wood++ This is a more natural looking Wood texture but it is much slower to render areas of the picture where this texture is visible.
