This subtree contains public domain/shareware/copyleft software obtained largely from ftp sites on the internet which has been ported to the IRIS. It is made available to all software developers in the Silicon Graphics Developer Program in the hope that it will prove useful.With the release of the v6.0 DT, we have significantly expanded our "public" offerings. We are very pleased to have both releases of Silicon Graphics Freeware on board, as well as some other local copies of software from the net. We also have begun to add web links, where they have been located, to software that used to be included here until such time as we are able to re-incorporate these packages with mirrored copies on/in the Toolbox itself.

We have not been able to perform adequate run-time testing of this software on Irix 5, but have included it since everything here does successfully compile on Irix 5.3. If you find/fix any problems encountered during run-time, please let us know via {DTjanitor@sgi.com, 415/933-{3556,1934}, fax: 415/967-6239}.As always, if you encounter problems building libraries/apps/etc., remember, where an Imakefile(s) exists, backup and start over with:
