Appendix B: Troubleshooting Installations


This appendix presents information and procedures that you can use to troubleshoot problems that you might encounter during installation.

The appendix begins with a description of the types of error messages that Inst produces, and then describes how to set Inst preferences to control the amount of feedback Inst provides. Most of the rest of the appendix discusses specific errors, arranged in groups according to how and when they are generated. Information or instructions are provided to help in correcting the error condition. A section at the end describes how to contact technical support and what information to have ready.
