6 Conclusions

GLR demonstrates a novel use of the X Window System and OpenGL to construct a high-performance render service. GLR's render interval approach virtualizes access to the rendering performance and frame buffer state of a high-end graphics subsystem so the hardware can be amortized by a network of users.
