about csi
The Utica Center for Science and Industry (UCSI) is the marriage of rigorous academic content and relevant, real world application of this knowledge. UCSI makes use of its strong relationships with business, industry and post-secondary partners to provide its students with the skills necessary to be successful in a global workplace.

“The Utica Center for Science and Industry is perfect for students who want a career in technology and want to see the “why” and relevance of their high school course work,” said Dr. Christine M. Johns, Superintendent of Utica Community Schools. “What is particularly exciting is that, as Center students, they will have access to work-based learning opportunities at all levels, including job shadowing, mentoring and work-site internships.”

A four-year program, UCSI encompasses three foundation-level courses of study: Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, and Multi-Media Technology. These integrated, thematic curricula will teach rigorous high school content expectations in mathematics, English language arts and the core technical curriculum.
