Nigel Stanger writes:

Here's Apple's original slogan. In fact, here's the relevant paragraph from West of Eden.

They sold their product for the odd sum of $666.66 and identified themselves with a curiously romantic logo that showed Isaac Newton under an apple tree and sported a legend lifted from Wordsworth: "Newton... 'A Mind Forever Voyaging Through Strange Seas of Thought... Alone.'"

The book itself is:

Rose, Frank, "West of Eden: The End of Innocence at Apple Computer," Hutchinson 1989. ISBN 0-09-174118-1.
