iPhone Distracts Bear from Mauling Hiker [3] -- CIO.com's Tom Kaneshige recounts the story of Kris Rowley, chief information security officer for the State of Vermont, who encountered a young bear while hiking. With nothing else at hand, she threw her iPhone at the bear to distract it, then made her escape. The end result?
