  60. Q3: What are the Minimum System Requirements to run ASCEND?

  62. - Microsoft Windows 3.0 or later version.  (Version 3.1 highly recommended!)
  63. - DOS 3.1 or later version
  64. - An IBM Compatible PC (80286 microprocessor or higher)
  65. - EGA, VGA, Hercules graphics card or compatible video graphics
  66.   adapter and monitor
  67. - 2 Megabyte of RAM (3MB or more is recommended for improved performance)
  68. - One 1.2MB 5.25" diskette drive or 1.44MB 3.5" diskette drive
  69. - A Hard Drive with at least 2.5MB of free disk space after Windows has
  70.   been installed
  71. - A printer compatible with Windows 3.0 or higher

  78. Q4: How Do I Install ASCEND?
  79.  
  80. - Start Windows on your computer.  
  81. - Place the ASCEND Program Diskette in one of your computer's floppy drives.  
  82. - From the Windows' Program Manager Menu, pull down the File option.  
  83. - Select the Run option from the File menu.  
  84. - Enter A:\SETUP at the Command Line then press OK.  (If you inserted this 
  85.   program diskette in a drive other than A, modify the above command 
  86.   accordingly, i.e., B:\SETUP, etc.)
  87. - The ASCEND Setup program will now run.  Enter the drive location where
  88.   you placed the ASCEND diskette.  (This field will default to A:\).  Press
  89.   TAB to advance to the next prompt.
  90. - In the Destination Path field, enter the drive and path where you would
  91.   like to install ASCEND. (This field will default to C:\ASCEND.) After you
  92.   have entered the appropriate source and destination paths, select OK.
  93. - ASCEND will now be installed in the appropriate path of your hard drive
  94.   and a new program group will be created containing two icons (ASCEND and
  95.   ASCEND Tools & Utilities).
  96. - Double click on the ASCEND icon (the pyramid) to run ASCEND.
