  16.      It's been about two months and a half since our previous release.
  17. Because of comments made by Sociopath [NATiON] of how he liked the first one
  18. (though after lookin back at it compared to this issue - the last one paled
  19. in comparison] cause of it's original concepts and different look from most
  20. mags.  We decided to follow up with the same concepts and make it a little
  21. more enjoyable at the same time.  This issue is drastically different from
  22. the previous one so we would like anyand all comments of what everyone
  23. thinks of it.
  24.  
  25.      Some features were not implemented at this time, such as the VGA
  26. interface (we kinda jumped the gun... hehehe), music interface (hadn't had
  27. time to get it done - but we will have it available in our next issue).
  28. The next issue has been set to be out by Halloween.  If anyone would like
  29. to do some articles or artwork for the magazine it would surely be
  30. appreciated.

  32.      Noticed that a bunch of people are still pronouncing the name of the
  33. mag wrong.  It is not pronounced like AMIGA with an 'ehr'.  It's pronounced
  34. [Eh-mih-zheer].  Though it's not much of a prob for me, it gets a bit
  35. irritating at times when people as about it and pronounce the name wrong.
  36. Nonetheless hope everyone gets it right from here on.  This magazine will
  37. more or less center it's views on the art scene, but will also include
  38. worldly topics and cyberculture stuff as time goes on.
  39.

  110.    What's up folks.. Thanks for givin' this mag a look-see.. I've put
  111. a little more effort into this one than the first issue.. BTW, that
  112. first issue sucked. (And I'm sure all of you are thinking that this
  113. one sucks, too... Well, HEY FUCK YOU!) Some expectations that brother
  114. Smooth (He's now working in a monestary) had for this issue never
  115. materialized.. The VGA interface first and foremost.. Welp, I'll lay
  116. a wager on the table that you won't see any VGA interfaces from us
  117. for a looong time. Just gettin' started, ya know?
  118.  
  119.    This whole magazine was done in Turbo Pascal.. Great language. There
  120. are so many people who go around with their C++, C++, C++ shit that it
  121. makes me friggin' sick. You can do the friggin same stuff in both of em.
  122. And most of the people that go slamming TP (Those people mentioned above)
  123. saying that it is limited are the same people who are writing programs
  124. that could be translated to BASIC to read - 10 PRINT "HELLO" : GOTO 10 -
  125. Oh well, enough of my bitchin against all the people in the world who
  126. are ignorant... (Hey, that would be bitching on myself, too, eh?)

  128.    A couple neat things were done for this mag.. I >> HOPE << they were
  129. all 100% original. I'm still limited in the Emags I've seen.. But in
  130. those I haven't seen any of the effects I did.. (The weird ones, of 
  131. course).. The introduction slide-screen-splitter (or whatever the hell
  132. ya wanna call it), the unique ANSis that come across on the middle of
  133. the interface.. I sure hope nobody has done those before. If ya have,
  134. drop me a line and I'll be sure to give you the original credit you
  135. deserve in the next mag.

  137.    Also, had a little help in this issue.. New coder for our group by the
  138. name of WrathChild worked with me on some stuff for a couple days. If
  139. you haven't seen the closing screen for this mag yet, then you won't know
  140. what I'm talking about. But, he came up with those bouncing TeKlordZ logos
  141. at the bottom of the screen.. I think they kick. (But who am I?)

  143.    I've got one complaint against MOST of the mags out there now.. Why
  144. is it when your 100 line title ANSis come up - or your artwork section's
  145. ANSis - or ANY ANSis - Why isn't there any scrollback? I whipped out the
  146. scrollback in this mag in about 10 minutes. Didn't want people to keep 
  147. PAUSE PAUSE PAUSE PAUSE PAUSE 'n through the whole pic. If anyone wants
  148. the source, lemme know.

  150.    The interface middle o' da screen ANSi thing... Tested it out on a 
  151. 486SX/33 and a 486DX2/66... Both get that "streak of light" effect.. 
  152. I hope everyone will see it. To be honest, I don't know how in the hell
  153. I actually did that. I just was messing with some stuff, and BAM...
  154. Crazy shit.

  156.    Hmm.. That's about it for stuff concerning this magazine.. For the next
  157. one I could not tell you what to expect. If anyone has any suggestions,
  158. or challenges, or whatever, lettuce (haha) know. Gunna try and make this
  159. one a Halloween issue... The Soopa-Spookie Edition. So, watch behind ya!

  163. cartoon in the ACiD 0994 pack.. SHIT!!! That was the funniest thing I've

  186. Our previous issue had a very basic interface, and we decided to add some
  187. cool new features that weren't in Issue #1.  Hope you like some of the cool
  188. stuff we added.  If you have any features that you would like to see added
  189. to EMiGRE Magazine, please don't hesitate to contact us about them.

  192. F1      |   F1 brings up the Help screen.  we thought we'd just add
  193.         |   it in for all who don't know what to do.

  195. ALT-F   |   Font selection menu. Can be called up from anywhere in the
  196.         |   interface, except for the ANSI Viewer. Press return or 
  197.         |   escape when ya got what ya like.

  199. Reader  |   PgUp/PgDn are fully implemented in this issue, along with
  200. Notes   |   the standard Up and Down keys. Text is hidden by the blood,
  201.         |   smooth scrolling percentage bar. Alt-F works from the reader
  202.         |   also.

  204. ANSi    |   Normal ANSi viewer. PgUp/PgDn along with the Up and Down keys
  205. Viewer  |   will let ya see what ya wanna see.
