  10.     Night Mist corona moon-walking on air
  11.     Sweet frangrance of chance everywhere.
  12.     'Twas a gamblers night 'ore the wide way
  13.     On the eve of new year, or so they say.
  14.  
  15.     The year matters little in the long run
  16.     'Tis the essence of chance new begun
  17.     Cards to the table, if that is the game
  18.     Fate deals the tale under any name.

  20.     Gambler's Get on the soft winds walked
  21.     Odds' Child in the Change,Dealer stalked
  22.     To skill or to chance, the prey did fall
  23.     To the game,to the fates, Eternity's call.

  26.     He sat to table, She watched from the side
  27.     Gambler's Get, come to challenge, bets offside
  28.     The cards rose and fell as the Fates decreed
  29.     Silver, copper and paper, the coin of greed

  31.     She stroked His right arm, lending Him luck
  32.     He wagered His skill and played against Puck
  33.     The tale is told as He emptied His pocket
  34.     Of Gambler's Get come before Time's docket.

  37.     At the end of a year, in lost love's name
  38.     He Played, on old habit, and lost, to his shame
