subject: BOOKMARKS
overview: A bookmark is a remembered location within a file to
which you may return on request. Each active file
inside PC-Type II may have up to four bookmarks.
Bookmarks are saved with the file if the file has a
.PCT extension, otherwise they are discarded when the
file is exited.
Normally bookmark processing is handled by keystrokes
outside the menus. However, you can also process them
with the Bookmarks Menu shown below which is reached
by selecting the "(B)ookmarks" option of the Main
Menu.

setting: (1) Move the cursor to the desired location.
(2) Activate the Bookmarks Menu above and press 1, 2,
3 or 4. (This is equivalent to pressing Alt1,
Alt2, Alt3 or Alt4 outside the menus).
The position in the file is now remembered and the
bookmark is set. To change the position of a
bookmark, follow the same procedure and press the same
number again. The new position will replace the old.
returning: To move to a previously set bookmark position,
activate the Bookmarks Menu shown above and select the
"(G)oto bookmark" option. (This is equivalent to
pressing Ctrl Q outside the menus.)
If only one bookmark exists in the file, PC-Type II will
immediately go to that remembered position. If more
than one bookmark exists in the file, then you will be
asked to select the bookmark you want by pressing
1, 2, 3 or 4.
clearing: To clear all the bookmarks in a file, activate the
Bookmarks Menu shown above and select the "(C)lear
marks" option.
