This option is used to specify the name and extension of the input file. Excel must be able to load and read the file as a spreadsheet file. Non-parsed text files will not work as no parsing is performed.
If the input file is not located in the current working directory, then the full drive and pathname must be specified.
Both the input and output files must be specified before the conversion will operate.
*2 OUTPUT
FILE - OUTPUT
Used to specify the name and extension of the output cardfile. The file will be saved in the current working directory unless a drive and/or pathname is specified.
*3 EXIT EXC2CRD
FILE - EXC2CRD
The input file is closed, EXC2CRD is halted, and the menu is returned to the standard Excel menu.
*4 EXIT
FILE - EXIT
Exits Excel.
*5 ABOUT
FILE - ABOUT
Displays the About EXC2CRD information box.
*6 CONVERSION
CONVERT - EXC->CRD
Starts the conversion process. Because Cardfile does not support DDE, the SEND.KEYS() function must be used to control its operation.
THE USE OF SEND.KEYS() ABSOLUTELY REQUIRES THAT THE CONVERSION PROCESS BE ALLOWED TO RUN WITHOUT USER INTERRUPTION OF ANY KIND. ANY SHIFT IN FOCUS AWAY FROM CARDFILE WILL PROBABLY RESULT IN A HANG.
