  13.         January 14, 1991 - Previously announced Version 1.1 of Zeno-
  14.         graphics' SuperPrint software began shipping today. In addition
  15.         to correcting some bugs in the initial version, SuperPrint 1.1
  16.         also provides additional capabilities, including on-the-fly
  17.         SCREEN FONTS. Additional printers supported in the new version
  18.         of the program, include 9 and 24 pin Epson and IBM compatible
  19.         dot matrix printers.

  21.         A new font engine for Bitstream Facelift-compatible typefaces is
  22.         added, and enhancements are made to the drivers for Adobe Type 1,
  23.         Compugraphic Intellifont, Bitstream Fontware and Nimbus Q (URW)
  24.         typefaces. HP soft fonts can also be used.

  26.         SuperPrint users that register their Version 1.0 package before
  27.         March 31, 1991 can receive their upgrade package at no extra cost.
  28.         After March 31, the upgrade price will be US$50.00.

  35.         == PAGEMAKER 4.0 RELEASED =======================================

  37.         January 9, 1991 - Aldus Corporation has released PageMaker V4 for
  38.         the Windows 3.0 environment. New features include a "Story Editor"
  39.         which provides draft mode text input, along with spell checking
  40.         and search/replace ability. A new Table Editor can create new
  41.         tables or import 1-2-3 and Excel files, maintaining dynamic links
  42.         with the original file. Enhanced support for long documents is
  43.         among the 75+ new features of this release.

  45.         PageMaker V4 provides more than 40 import/export filters for
  46.         integrating text and graphics, as well as "inline graphics" and
  47.         "paragraph rules" for attaching graphics to text. The product will
  48.         import and display full-color images and illustrations, including
  49.         24-bit colour TIFF and EPS graphics. Enhanced printing features
  50.         include black and white laser proofs of color documents to a laser
  51.         printer, or color comprehensives to a desktop color printer.

  53.         Adobe Type Manager will be included with PageMaker at no charge
  54.         for a limited time.

  56.         Aldus PageMaker 4.0 for Windows will be available in the first
  57.         quarter of 1991 from Aldus dealers in the U.S. and Canada for a
  58.         suggested retail price of US$795. Windows 3.x is required.

  60.         Registered owners of previous PageMaker versions can upgrade for
  61.         US$150 by calling the Aldus at 1-800-243-3173. Those purchasing
  62.         PageMaker for Windows after January 1/91, can receive the upgrade
  63.         free from Aldus by submitting proof of purchase.

  67.         In the shadow of the Excel 3.0 announcement, Lotus Development has
  68.         sweetened the pot for those who purchase or upgrade to 1-2-3 V3.1
  69.         between January 8 and April 30/91. A two-fold offer provides a
  70.         copy of AMI Professional for US$19.95, as well as a maximum
  71.         upgrade
  72.         charge of US$49.00 to 1-2-3 for Windows, when it is released later
  73.         this year.
