  7.   SmartWin is a package of two Microsoft Windows programs that make
  8.   file and directory maintenance easier.
  9.  
  10.   SmartWin Exec is a program which provides a super-set of the functions
  11.   provided by the Microsoft Windows MS-DOS Executive. It includes all
  12.   the functionality of the executive, but also extends it significantly
  13.   to provide easier operations over multiple files, enhanced sorting,
  14.   viewing, and marking options, and allows user installation of
  15.   additional applications.

  17.   SmartWin Tree is a program which provides a new capability of viewing
  18.   the entire directory tree for a disk, and allows deleting, copying,
  19.   and renaming of entire directories.
  20.  
  21.   SmartWin version 1.0 is a shareware version of the SmartWin package.
  22.   This copy has several of the features disabled (indicated by asterisks
  23.   on the menus).  SmartWin version 2.0 is a commercial product that will
  24.   be available in the first quarter of 1989.  Version 2.0 will have all
  25.   the disabled features fully implemented.

  38. ---Installation---

  40.   Copy all files in the SmartWin package to your Microsoft Windows
  41.   directory or to another directory in your PATH.

  43.   Example:
  44.      COPY *.* c:\windows
  45.  
  46.   NOTE:
  47.     The SEXEC.EXE and STREE.EXE programs must be accessible through the
  48.     path. The following predefined applications for SmartWin Exec must
  49.     also be accessible through the path; command.com, notepad.exe, and
  50.     calc.exe.

  52. ---Distribution---

  54.   You may distribute SmartWin version 1.0 to friends, associates, or to
  55.   computer bulletin board systems (BBS). Please distribute SmartWin with
  56.   all files and documents intact in the archive file called SMARTWIN.ARC
  57.   (See LICENSE.DOC).

  61.   Please register your copy of SmartWin using the form in ORDER.TXT. Type
  62.   the following to print the registration form:

  66.   Then fill out the form and send to the given address. There is no fee
  67.   for registration and you will receive notification of new releases.
