  7.     * that the position of the Command Post screen and the position of  *
  8.     * the Command Post clock may not be as desired.  To fix this,       *
  9.     * simply move the clock to the desired position, (drag it with the  *
  10.     * mouse) and arrange the Command Post window as desired.  Then,     *
  11.     * in the CmdPost Options... dialog, select the "Save CmdPost window *
  12.     * position checkbox.  These steps will re-align the Command Post    *
  13.     * windows as desired.                                               *

  18. Command Post is a MS Windows shareware application designed to allow users to
  19. easily personalize the MS-DOS Executive control window.  Command Post allows
  20. users to easily add Menu and Submenu items to the main MS-DOS Executive menu
  21. bar, and gives them control of their Windows environment.  Command Post also
  22. provides file management utilities and a directory tree.

  24. Complete documentation for Command Post is in the file CMDPOST.TXT, but to get
  25. up and running, simply copy the following files from the files created when
  26. you executed CMDP62.EXE of the distribution diskette, or from the un-arc'ed
  27. ARC file to your C:\WINDOWS directory, or any other directory defined
  28. in your DOS PATH statement:

  30.     CMDPOST.EXE
  31.     CMDLIB.EXE
  32.     CMDTREE.EXE
  33.     CMDPOST.MNU   <---If you are updating from a previous version of
  34.               Command Post you may not want to copy this file.
  35.                       BUT BE SURE TO LOOK AT IT ANYWAY, as it has
  36.                       come comments that discuss some of the new features.

  38. NOTE:  IT IS AN *ABSOLUTE* CERTAINTY that the supplied CMDPOST.MNU file
  39. will not be fully functional on your system.  You will need to edit it,
  40. using the notepad editor, to personalize it for your system.

  42. There are also two other files, which are PIF files for running COMMAND.COM
  43. under Windows.  If you do not already have a suitable COMMAND.PIF file, then
  44. copy over one of the following files and rename it to COMMAND.PIF.
  45. These two files are:

  47.     COMMAND.286         Copy one of these two files and rename it to
  48.     COMMAND.386         COMMAND.PIF

  51. While in Windows just doubleclick on CMDPOST.EXE to start Command Post.  You
  52. will soon want to modify the LOAD= line in your WIN.INI file so that
  53. Command Post starts anytime you start Windows.
  54. (I know you think the RUN= line would be better, but it simply is not so).
