  3.    THANK YOU to all of the people who have supported the development
  4.    of Almanac for Windows!  To all of you who have sent me your
  5.    suggestions (and problems) - to all of you who have patiently
  6.    worked close with beta testing and debugging, and last but not
  7.    least, to all of you who have sent in your registrations, my
  8.    warmest gratitude for your support and encouragement!

  10.    Version 1.0 is now in sight.  I have decided that it is imperative
  11.    to establish a 1.0 release that is well documented and, of course,
  12.    completely stable.  Versions released after 1.0 will be not be
  13.    made available  until an organized beta group has completed thorough
  14.    testing.  I anticipate version 1.0 being available in mid to late
  15.    August.  Version 1.1 will be a Windows 3.0 ONLY version, and should
  16.    be available in September or early October.  Subsequent versions
  17.    will add major enhancements which exploit the capabilities of the
  18.    Windows environment by intregrating applications, networking and more!

  20.    As stated in all license requests, all current registrations will be
  21.    honored for all future shareware releases of Almanac for Windows.
  22.    Beginning with version 1.0, new licensing options will be available
  23.    which will include: (1) a packaged release complete with disks
  24.    and user manual, (2) options for upgrade notification, and (3)
  25.    discount options for volume agreements.

  27.    I expect to continue to provide a 'license only' option at a small
  28.    increase in charge for those users who desire to acquire future
  29.    versions from the BBS network or other distribution channels.

  31.    Preferred pricing will be available for users who have shown their
  32.    support for Almanac over this development phase.  This will be
  33.    limited to options to complement existing license quantities. The
  34.    deadline for purchasing licenses qualified for preferred upgrade
  35.    pricing is September 30, 1990.

  38.    Let me take this opportunity to let you know that this is not the
  39.    end of a project; it is the beginning of much, MUCH, more to come!
