Please read this and the documentation carefully. Zip Manager is capable
of some truly powerful Zip File manipulation. We want you to get the most
from your new program.
Before you read this short file I would like to ask a favor.
Please upload this Zip to your favorite BBS. There are many users
that have the older 2.X version of Zip Manager. I would be most
grateful if you could pass this one along. Please leave a comment
to the sysop to remove any previous version of Zip Manager he may
have on his board.
If you have any questions, find a bug, or just plain need some help.
Please call The WINDOWS BBS at 602-375-0531. You will have an answer to
your question within 24 hrs. If you prefer you can leave me mail on
Compuserve, My CIS ID # is 72200,576 I retrieve my mail twice a week,
Monday, and Friday. Please DON'T leave messages for help in the MSWIN
forum on CIS, as they often disappear before I have a chance to reply.
If you are in desperate need, you can call me at 602-375-9502 from
9:00 am to 4:00 pm MST Monday - Friday.
All patches and interim updates will be posted on the WINDOWS BBS ONLY.
This way I can be sure that all of you are getting the correct updates
as needed. Only a major upgrade will be posted on CIS.
--------------------[ LIST.COM USERS PLEASE NOTE ]----------------------
The only KNOWN problem discovered by the Beta Testers is when trying
to run LIST.COM (Vern Buergs Program). Certain combinations of
video cards and Windows don't seem to get along when we ask Zip Manager
to extract a file from a Zip so that LIST can display it for you.
You will get the "infamous" UAE(Unrecoverable Application Error) message
and a DOS icon will appear at the bottom of the display that says ZMSHELL.
You can IGNORE THE UAE(it isn't one). To get LIST to run in this rare case
simply double click on the ZMSHELL Icon and LIST will start.
I don't know why this happens only on certain computers and only very
sporadically. If you have any insight into this I would appreciate hearing
from you!

------------------------[ EVERYONE READ THIS ]----------------------------
Before you tear off and start Zipping and UnZipping the daylights out of your
files. It is IMPERATIVE that if you were using version 2.X of Zip Manager
that you read the Installation portion on the documentation. Failure to do
so could and most likely WILL cause you to have a problem trying to
run Zip Manager 3.0 It is a completely new program that has nothing in
common with the previous versions.
EVERYONE SHOULD READ THE INSTALLATION PORTION OF THE DOCUMENTATION.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 3 of Zip Manager is a classic example of user supported software.
If it weren't for your many registrations and tremendous feedback about
what features were important to you this program would not be in existence
today.
From everyone here at Moon Valley Software I would like to express my
sincerest gratitude. It was a pleasure writing this program for all of
the users who were both kind in their criticisms of version 2.X and offered
many of the wish list items that made it into this version.
As they say on TV "FOR ALL YOU DO, THIS ZIP'S FOR YOU"!!!
Yours for better computing...
Eric Anderson
