Applets 1.1 Quickstart Information
Thank you for trying this version of Applets.
Applets is a group of MS Windows shareware applications designed
to provide users with a set of basic tools so that they can increase
the amount of automation in their daily work.
Complete documentation for Applets is in the file APPLETS.TXT, but
to get up and running, simply copy all the EXE files created from
the APLT11.EXE file of the distribution diskette, or from the
un-arc'ed APLT11.ARC file to your C:\WINDOWS or C:\WIN386 directory,
or any other directory defined in your DOS PATH statement.
}ARRANGE.EXE
}BEEP.EXE
}CLOSE.EXE
}COPY.EXE
}DELETE.EXE
}HIDE.EXE
}ICONIZE.EXE
}MOVE.EXE
}PLACE.EXE
}RENAME.EXE
}SAY.EXE
}SHOW.EXE
}ZOOM.EXE
}SAYBEEP.EXE
WININFO.EXE
}}RUN1ST.EXE
Until you license Applets, you must run }}RUN1ST.EXE every day
BEFORE you try to run any of the Applets (or else they will whine
and refuse to function)
Licensed users will need to re-enter their license numbers.
Changes from 1.0
Fixed }}run1st problem where it would not 'take' on some machines.
Fixed problem with the file Applets where they could not take
file names without extensions.
Added the Arrange command, which works like the Command Post
commands, can tile or stack currently open windows.
Changed how window titles were searched for. Where in 1.0 an exact
match was required, in this version (1.1) only the first few
characters of the window title are needed. All one needs to do
is to just specify the characters needed to uniquely identify
the window from the others that may be currently running. If more
than one window match, then the most recently used window will
be selected.
Improved perfromance of }MOVE.EXE and }COPY.EXE a great deal.
