21. Error Messages
IO Errors
{Error creating} - Disk write error, drive not ready.
{Error writing} - Disk write error, CRC error in data,
drive not ready.
{Error closing} - Disk write error, drive not ready.
{Error reading} - Disk read error, CRC error in data,
sector not found, drive not ready.
{Error opening} - Disk read error, drive not ready.
{Error seeking} - Disk seek error, CRC error in data,
sector not found, drive not ready.
{Error: Switch data file corrupted.} - Disk read error,
CRC error in data, sector not found, drive not
ready.
{Missing file SWITCH.CNF.} - File not found. Reinstall Switch.
Memory Errors
{Heap overflow. Not enough memory.} - Insufficient conventional
memory. Use System Info. to check the system's
memory. Switch will not run properly if the
Available Memory is below 86,896 bytes. If you are
using DESQview, set the Memory Size (in K): to 264.
{Out of memory "c:\switch\switch.exe"} - Insufficient conventional
memory to load SWITCH.EXE. If you are using
DESQview, set the Memory Size (in K): to 265.
Miscellaneous Errors
{Configuration name missing.} - You must enter a configuration
name.
{Data file is full.} - There is no more room in Switch's
database.
{Printer malfunction.} - Error writing to the printer, printer
not ready.
{Printer not ready.} - Error initializing the printer.
{Printer off-line.} - Printer not clear to send.
{Invalid command line entry.} - The parameter passed through
Switch is not within the number of an active
configuration, or no matching configuration name was
found.
{Logged drive * has no files.} - The drive accessed has no files
that Switch can retrieve.
{Directory is empty.} - The directory accessed has no files
that Switch can retrieve.
{No data.} - No configurations exist, No files on logical
drive C.
{Rebooting from within DESQview is not allowed.} - DESQview is
currently active. As a precation, Switch disables the option
to reboot the system while DESQview is active. This prevents
any misfortunate data loss.
{Invalid date.} - The date entered is out of format.
Syntax: DATE [mm/dd/yyyy]
{Invalid time.} - The time entered is out of format.
Syntax: TIME [hh:mm:ss am/pm]
